Privacy

What we collect

FAI Atlas stores account and workspace records, Artist profiles, artworks and media, and Curator or organizer workspace records. Open Call workflows include opportunities, application answers, submitted artworks and materials, documents, review notes, decisions, statuses, and communications.

We also store collector and inquiry records, offers, invoices, commissions, tasks, application-fee records, Artist-specific fee waivers, payment and connected-account readiness records where applicable, and support and operational records.

How we use it

We use this data to provide workspace access, public Artist and Open Call pages, applications and submission review, decisions and communications, collector and commercial workflows, fee waivers, supported payments, and support. Product analytics, where enabled, helps us understand feature usage, diagnose issues, and improve FAI Atlas. FAI Atlas does not store raw card data.

Third-party services

Clerk handles authentication and sessions. PostgreSQL infrastructure, including Neon, stores application records; private Vercel Blob storage holds artwork media and files, served through the product according to access permissions and public presentation settings.

Stripe handles hosted payments and connected payment-account functionality. Resend delivers transactional email, and PostHog supports product analytics where enabled. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when those services are used.

Cookies and sessions

FAI Atlas uses session and authentication cookies where needed for sign-in, protected routes, and secure product operation. Current product analytics are server-side event analytics; FAI Atlas does not currently use client-side session replay. Analytics, when enabled, is used for product understanding and reliability rather than as the source of truth for invoices, payments, or internal activity history.
