IN FLUX: Underpaintings of becoming

In celebration of NEOM Studios’ first anniversary, IN FLUX calls together artists across mediums to explore the fluidity of their creative practices. Through artworks that reflect experimentation, transformation, and discovery, the exhibition creates space for the ideas, questions, and possibilities that exist in the early stages of becoming.

Opportunity details

What does it mean to be in the making? To experiment is to welcome the unknown. It is to sit with uncertainty, challenge what is familiar, and allow ourselves the freedom to become something else. Within every artistic practice, there are moments of transition where ideas are still unfolding, materials are being reconsidered, even shifted from their traditional use, and new ways of seeing begin to take shape. As artists, we are constantly negotiating between what we know and what we have yet to discover. The process of trying something new can be both deeply personal and profoundly uncertain. Yet, it is within these moments that new possibilities emerge, allowing our practices to expand in directions we may have never imagined. IN FLUX is an invitation to embrace that process together. As NEOM Studios reflects on its first year, we celebrate the beginnings, transitions, and discoveries that shape our individual and collective journeys. We welcome what is unfinished, what is changing, and what has yet to find its form.
